Graduating with distinction from the University of Alberta Medical School, where she received the Mewburn Memorial Medal for her exemplary performance in surgery she continued to pursue advanced studies including a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from Queen Mary University of London School of Medicine, where she graduated with Distinction.
Dr. Lotay has contributed significantly to medical education at the medical school level and is an Associate Clinical Professor at UBC. She has also taught at the University of Texas at San Antonio in their family practice residency.
