About Dr. Jeremy Cohen

Dr. Jeremy Benjamin Cohen graduated from McGill University with a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science, majoring in Occupational Therapy in 2014. He then completed his Doctorate of Medicine at University of Montreal in 2019 before returning to McGill University to complete his postgraduate training in Family Medicine in 2021. In addition, he holds a complementary certificate specializing in Medical Aesthetics. His medical training over the past years have given him an appreciation of the diversity of the human condition and the impact individual life stories have on perception of life and health. This perspective highlights his emphasis of patient-centered practice, empowering patients to be active participants in their medical treatment. He believes successful medical outcomes hinge on effective communication as well as the ability to adapt to a changing situation. Through mindfulness meditation, he learned the value of introspection and self-awareness, and the ability to manage the unexpected with acceptance and a non-judgmental attitude. These valuable tools in patient care offer a unique opportunity to apply a holistic approach to medicine, whether through direct assessment and physical examination of the patient, psychosocial or family support, or the application of specific procedural skills. Dr. Jeremy Benjamin Cohen graduated from McGill University with a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science, majoring in Occupational Therapy in 2014.
