Injector (MD, ND, or NP)

Objective: The injector MD, ND or NP will perform detailed cosmetic consultations, skillfully administer various cosmetic treatments such as injectables (neuromodulators, filler, biostimulators), PRP/PRF and similar procedures while maintaining an excellent standard of sanitation, customer service and clinical documentation. As well as ensure the safety of patients at all times when performing treatments. Handling dissatisfied patients with care and following up with any side effects your patient may experience.

Qualifications: 

– Be a licensed MD, ND or NP with an active registration in BC. 

– Have malpractice insurance of 5 Million or more 

– Have active CPR as per your college requirements 

– Meet all college requirements to perform injectable and cosmetic procedures that you will be performing 

– 3+ years experience in aesthetic injectables 

– Strong customer service background 

– Sales background 

– Staying up-to-date on non-surgical cosmetic procedures 

– Ability to handle emergency situations through to resolution 

– Passion for the aesthetic industry and patient care 

Responsibilities

Employee Performance:

– Timeliness – arrive ten minutes before scheduled shift 

– Dress professionally and appropriately for industry standards (see dress code, well-groomed: hair, makeup and nails) 

– Attend meetings, including 1 mandatory monthly staff meeting (1hr) 

– Attend necessary continuing education and training 

– Positive, team attitude 

– Coach and be coachable – we never stop learning! 

Customer Service:

– Providing excellent customer service, calm attitude and utmost care and a high standard of bedside manner to all patients 

– Ensuring charts are completed 

– Welcome new patients to the clinic by credentialing the clinic and going over who we are and services we offer. 

– Assess the patient’s intake form to get an idea of their concern and what treatments we can discuss at today’s visit and what treatments to schedule for future appointments (patient retention plan). 

– Complete charts for each appointment on Jane, gathering pertinent medical history and questionnaires from the patient. 

– Taking high quality before and after photos of patients. 

– Checking their intake if they consented to full face photos or eyes cropped out. 

– Chatting with the patient about their goals, discussing their current skincare regimen and offering skin care products to enhance their results. 

– Performing non-surgical cosmetic procedures in a safe and consistent manner using a high standard of sanitation and infection control protocols. 

– Wrapping up the appointment once finished by taking after photos, offering an ice pack when appropriate and bringing the patient to the front desk to the receptionist. 

– Let the receptionist know of the cost of the appointment, what and when their next visit is or their next appointment reminder for them to schedule. 

– Handling any patient complaints. 

– Seek to empathize, understand and involve management. 

– In-person consultations with a closing ratio of 75% or higher. 

– Enhance patient experience – always strive for 5-star service! 

– Manage your patients or ask for support when you need it from the Lead Clinical Injector and Office Manager. 

Clerical/Patient Charts 

– Ensure appropriate consent forms and information for patients is complete. The front desk team will do this, though ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure you have obtained informed consent. 

– Manage your own charts: Ensure all charts are completed and closed. 

– Product/Service Knowledge: Participate in continuing education. Be ahead of industry trends and know what is coming up in the industry. Stay educated! 

– Attend all mandatory trainings/meetings 

– Know all current offers and promotions 

– Know and participate in clinic incentive contests 

– Become proficient in all clinic services within the first two weeks of hire (What treatments we have, what they are, explaining them, prices, FAQ). 

– Be a product of the product. 

Sales 

– Sell treatment plans to patients 

– Add skincare to improve patient outcomes 

– Upselling/cross selling products and services. Be aware of cross-promotions that will benefit your patient 

– Coordinate consultation flow with medical aestheticians when doing a team consult 

– Assist in closing sales 

– Participate in team incentive contests and sales goals 

Clinic Schedule 

– Review a week prior and make changes as needed. 

– Be responsible for your own schedule. 

– Daily review of all scheduled appointments 

– Stay on top of schedule and timeliness 

Facility 

– Maintain utmost clinic cleanliness and room cleanliness 

– Clean treatment rooms between patients with cavi wipes and gloves every time to ensure a high standard of cleanliness (wipe bed, counter, remote, handles, trays and anything that may have been touched) 

– Maintain a hygienic environment at all times 

– Abide by patient confidentiality requirements 

– Supplies – order from Office Manager 

Dress: Well-groomed and professional (scrubs or business casual).
