Poly-l-lactic-acid (Sculptra Aesthetic®) is a polylactic acid product that works to replace lost collagen. As we age our collagen production decreases and results in the development of facial wrinkles, loose skin, loss of facial volume, as well as deep facial folds. PLLA (PolyLactic Acid) works to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds due to its stimulatory effect on collagen providing a refined, more youthful looking appearance.
