Practitioners of all levels can attend this training, including physicians (MDs, DOs), nurses (NPs, RNs), and physician assistants (PAs, PA-Cs).
We are taking any and all preventative measures to ensure the safety of our students and faculty. Our studio will be completely sanitized using anti-viral chloraseptic aerosols. Areas such as doors, seats, and handles will be sanitized frequently throughout the day, and seating arrangements will be socially distanced in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Lastly, all students will be required to wear masks for the duration of the training.
While there is no general dress code, we would recommend you wear close-toed shoes to this event. As well, masks will be required for the duration of this training. Medical PPE will be provided on our behalf (scrubs, bonnets, etc).
A total of 8 CME credits will be awarded each day.

  • Key facial anatomical landmarks, safe zones, danger areas, and facial planes for the best esthetic treatment outcomes
  • How to increase your proficiency in delivering excellent facial injectable therapy safely and efficiently
  • Anatomy, neurophysiology, musculature, and circulatory system of the oral and maxillofacial area
  • Understanding more than ever what you need to do to prevent and treat simple to complex injectable complications from bruising, vascular occlusion, and necrosis 
  • Prof. Sebastian Cotofana, MD, PhD, PhD

    Prof. Sebastian Cotofana, MD., PhD, PhD is an associate professor of anatomy in the Department of Clinical Anatomy at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, Rochester, Minnesota. He additionally is a honorary professor of Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow, Russia and a visiting professor at the University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia. He teaches anatomy, embryology, and histology to first-year medical students, residents and health care profession students and his teaching focus is on advanced clinical anatomy for health professionals, residents and physicians.

    His research interest is in translational and clinical anatomical research with a special focus on age-related changes of the human face and medical education. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and online communications.

     

    Dr. Gideon Kwok, DO

    Dr. Kwok’s experience in the field now equates to over 15 years in aesthetics, contributing as a practitioner, speaker, and trainer. Apart from his local endeavors, he also supports aesthetic medicine internationally as a prominent speaker at engagements and trainings. Currently, he is a national speaker and trainer for Galderma, as well as, being an active member on their U.S. and global advisory boards. Furthermore, Dr. Kwok is also a faculty member and trainer for Mint threads, along with partaking as a trainer and speaker for Cutera and Radiesse.

    Dr. Kwok’s mounting experience and contributions to the field have led to his recognition as one of the top injectors in America.

     

    Lori Robertson, MSN, FNP-C

    Lori has spent over 39 years in medicine, 24 of which she spent as an ER and ICU nurse. In 2004, she became a Nurse Practitioner working in Family Practice. It was after getting botox for the time when she began to consider working in aesthetics. 

    In 2012 she was voted the National Aesthetic Nurse of the Year, in 2015 voted Southern California’s Best Aesthetic Nurse, and has been selected as one of America’s top 100 Best Aesthetic injectors 3 years in a row. Lori also has quite an interesting past as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff Rsv. for 13 years, has won 4 National Championships racing Corvettes, and worked as the Medical Consult/Actress for ABC-TV General Hospital for 19 years.
