Botulinum Toxin & Dermal Fillers Advanced Technique Certificate

This Advanced Botulinum Toxin & Dermal Filler Certificate course offers Physicians (MD & DO), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Dentists, Registered Nurses (RN),  Registered Practical Nurses (RPN), and International Medical Doctors hands-on instruction from exceptional American and Canadian Physician and Nurse Practitioner educators, who provide non-surgical treatments in the field of aesthetic medicine daily in their own highly successful practices.
During the course, you will learn and be helped to accelerate your proficiency with injectables, build confidence, and grow your Aesthetics practice. These courses incorporate theoretical and didactic (hands-on) components to give our students confidence to inject techniques taught immediately after the course.

Learning Objectives

Learn the most recent evidence and knowledge-based practices on non-surgical cosmetic procedures related to advanced botulinum toxin and dermal filler injection techniques.

Practice and abide by all the standards of the governing College of Health Care practitioners (the standards which are taught follow the College of Family Physicians in Canada and the College of Nurses in Ontario, Vancouver, and California.)

Understanding the scope of practice for each health care practitioner and understanding the rules and guidelines for delegation.

Understanding the danger zones of the face, neck, shoulders, and calves, plus the contraindications which can occur if proper technique is not used to inject into area.

Understanding FDA/Health Canada approved areas for products and their off-label uses. 

Understand which products are used for the desired effect of the patient and how product placement affects patient outcomes without correct injection protocols.

Ability to competently and safely perform advanced filler techniques under the supervision of an experienced practitioner practicing in aesthetic medicine.

Know potential contraindications and complications which can occur after dermal filler method and how to deal with adverse patient outcomes to treatment.

Also includes: Unlimited refresher courses and access to student clinics (to practice skills) within the first 2 years of registration with membership renewal.

Course Prerequisite: In-depth knowledge of facial anatomy (including facial muscles, nerves, arteries, and veins), and neck. At least 6 months’ experience injecting basic areas of the face such as lips, cheeks, and jawline. In-depth knowledge on the application of Dermal Filler injection into basic areas of the body, such as but not restricted to, the mid cheek, chin, lips, and jawline. In-depth knowledge on the application of Dermal Filler injection into basic areas of the body, such as but not restricted to, the mid cheek, chin, lips, and jawline. Familiarity using needle and cannula techniques. Familiar with retrieving information, articles, and reference books. Advanced skills will be performed with the understanding that the clinician is trained to prevent and manage complications.

Must be a licensed and practicing healthcare professional in Canada or country of practice in order to practice techniques taught in this program.
